Wish list for a democratic Congress

1. Eliminate the filibuster in the US Senate.
2. Pass the Reproductive Freedom Act to codify Roe v Wade.
3. Ban assault weapons, require universal background checks and pass red flag laws.
4. Pass true immigration reform that includes legal residency status and a pathway to citizenship for DREAMERS.
5. Eliminate the Trump tax cuts that favor the wealthy and corporations.
6. Reauthorize the Voting Rights Act.
7. Affirm in legislation the Chevron deference to administrative expertise recently rejected by Supreme Court.
8. Reform campaign finance laws for greater transparency and accountability.
9. Raise the minimum wage and permanently fund childcare tax credits.
10. Enact Supreme Court reforms and extend existing judicial ethics provisions to the Justices.
