Can we be more confident of the safety of our food? Are our children more vulnerable to infectious diseases? Have federal agents on our streets made us safer? Have our dealings with the rest of the world improved our well-being at home and abroad? Are we making progress against climate change? With more citizens about to lose insurance coverage, with the increase in food-borne illness, with the upsurge of measles cases, with arrests and shootings by ICE agents, with disruptive tariffs, with a losing war with Iran, and with the EPA gutting emission standards, the answer in all cases must be no. All of these threats to our security are the result of the intentional, but misguided policies of Donald Trump and his Republican enablers.
